The Beauty Of Christmas…

The Beauty Of Christmas… by Randolph Jason for Gospel News Network

The video below is more than a decade old or is it timeless and when it was filmed is of no relevance? Every time I see it just melts my heart. It is one of the purest images, in this season of this world, that depicts the absolute beauty of Christmas. The joy on the babies face, the tiny smile and, I feel confident, a massive smile, and a few tears, on the part of the person filming this incredibly tender moment.

Do we really need another trinket, another gift card for stuff we don’t need bought with money someone doesn’t have to spend? What we really need is another moment showered in love, in truth and the Light of the World. We could use a little more love, a little more healing, now. We could use a little more joy, now. We could show a little more mercy and grace towards one another, now.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, good will toward men. ~ Luke 2:8-14 KJB

We need a lot more of this in this world today. We need to share love more, share more smiles and watch out more for another. If we can turn more people back to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, maybe, just maybe, we can reach a saturation point of images like the one below.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. May the Love of God shine through your heart and illuminate those around you. May you find yourself, in this season, lifting up others a little higher, speaking with a little more of a smile in your voice and may the song in your heart burst forth and you find yourself dancing like no one is watching!

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
