I Prayed Therefore Unto The Lord…

What is amazing for anyone to see is the depths of love that our God, our Heavenly Father, the depth of love He has for us. Through all our nonsense, all our sins and all our turning away, God is always there. God never leaves us, He never turns away from us and He always does exactly what He says He will do.

Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you. I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand. ~ Deuteronomy 8:25-26 KJB

Some people may read this and laugh as if they are reading a fairy-tale. The business of God is no fairy-tale, the business of God is what brings us to this point. Believers the world over are in shock at the current state of this world. While they may be shocked they are not walking in fear. Believers are standing firm in their faith, in the belief that God is in control and moving “pieces and parts” around that we will not see until the change happens.

Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin: lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness. ~ Deuteronomy 9:27-28 KJB

As we sin, scream at God and turn away from Him, God is always there. Why not just turn back to Him and see what God has in store for your life? What is the promised land that God has waiting for you and your family. What is the land of milk and honey that is overflowing with grace, mercy and love unknown before?

Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm. ~ Deuteronomy 8:29

Will we ever learn?

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
