Join thousands of Catholics in nationwide rosary rally for the US by Jean Mondoro for Life Site News

GNN Note – While, we at Gospel News Network are not Catholic, and have zero respect for the Pope, we do support all followers of Jesus Christ and our Christian God. Praying together in large groups is an extremely powerful weapon for good. It can change history. We support all mass prayers where people are praying at the same time, as close together as possible, focused on a single prayer raised up to Almighty God. / END

The national prayer event will take place on Sunday, October 9, in Washington, D.C., where people will gather to pray the rosary for the conversion of the US.

The International Week of Prayer and Fasting (IWOPF) will conclude on October 9 with a nationwide rosary, offered for the conversion of the United States to faith in God.

The National Rosary Rally, also known as “Rosary Coast to Coast,” marks the end of the thirtieth IWOPF and culminates in a 54-day rosary novena for the country.

“Rosaries will be prayed along with intentions which include: respect for life at all stages of development, especially the unborn; the sanctity of marriage and families based upon God’s creation of man and woman; upholding constitutionally protected religious freedom; and the return of our nation to God and Holiness,” the website states. “The Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary will be prayed simultaneously across the nation with Rosary Coast to Coast at 4:00pm.”

Participants will gather at 1:30 p.m. EST at St. Peter’s Church on Capitol Hill, in Washington, D.C. At 2 p.m., the “National Eucharistic Procession departs St. Peter’s praying the Joyful and Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.”

Benediction is set to take place at the rally site. From roughly 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. prayers and talks have been scheduled. Fr. Stephen Imbarrato is slated as the event’s emcee. Speakers will include Sr. Deirdre Byrne, David Carollo, Msgr. Charles Pope, Bishop Joseph L. Coffey of the Archdiocese for the Military, Doug Barry, and Father Richard Heilman.
