The Omnipresence of Jesus…

The Omnipresence of Jesus…

When Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden something happened and sin was born. The first two people believed they could “hide” from God, however, they discovered, very quickly, that was impossible. God was right there the entire time. They tried to “hide” their shame with a fig leaf, but the leaf was the wrong size and didn’t hide anything. God is with us always. God will never turn away from us under any circumstance. We, on the other hand, will turn our back on God in a flat-heartbeat. In less than a nanosecond we will kick Jesus Christ to the curb without hesitation without thought. That’s what we do. We don’t have to, but we do.

The true believer, follower of Christ, will immediately confess, repent and make the necessary amends with the person(s) harmed never do make that particular mistake again. That mistake is now finished. Then another sin comes into our life – a completely different variety – a we repeat – confession, repentance and amends with the person(s) harmed in the presence of God. As our life continues we commit fewer and fewer sins and find ourselves getting closer and closer to God. God is always there.

Do we believe that Jesus Christ is always with us, always there and always a part of our lives? It is our faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 KJB – that reveals this Truth in our hearts. It is this Truth that touches our skin and gives breath to our lungs.

It is when we, even for a moment, turn our back on Jesus that darkness invades. We must stay near to Jesus Christ for the Light to fill us. Jesus was confident in Peter that Jesus called Peter, who used to be known as Simon, Jesus called him the “rock”, foundation, for the church.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. ~Matthew 16:18-20

This is how what happens when we are living in our true faith. The rock upon which we stand was blessed by Jesus Christ Himself. When we turn our back to Jesus, well…

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. ~Matthew 26:58 KJB

We, physically, move away from Christ and really terrible things are liable to manifest. We walk away, and deny Him, then  we go out on the porch, deny Him and then we walk at an elevated pace, to deny Him again as to run quicker from someone we can never evade, someone that will never leave us.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. ~Matthew 26:75 KJB

We try, but it doesn’t work. We run but our legs fail us. We do all sorts of unspeakable scenarios to kill the pain, but the pain cuts, deeper and deeper. It is only in our release, our surrender that we find life, we find love and we find Jesus Christ has been right there the entire time waiting for the His moment to re-enter our life.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
