Deep Dive or Lean-In?

Deep Dive or Lean-In?

For the past couple of years this phrase, “lean in” has been applied to so many different scenarios it’s amazing it carries much weight any longer. It’s predecessor “deep dive” fell out of favor. Probably a little to “harsh” or politically incorrect or something to that effect. Who knows. But here we are today with people describing a variety of scenarios that mean we humans are considering our personal involvement.

What does our Father want us to know about “leaning in”? It sounds pretty casual, laid back and something that maybe a “goat commune dude” would say as he is leaning back on his elbows in the grass to watch the goats graze. Not that that’s a bad thing it could be the absolute proper response to hear the Word of God.

Dive deep into the Fathers love, become saturated with His Way, Truth and Life. What would that look like or sound like? Possibly something like this  – 27 It was faith that immersed you into Jesus, the Anointed One, and now you are covered and clothed with his anointing.

That sounds more like a deep dive instead of a lean-in. How deep a dive is the only remaining question. How close to Jesus Christ does one wish to be? There is no right or wrong answer, just looking at two phrases and how they could apply.

All the promises await. We simply ask, seek and knock for the love of Jesus Christ, humbly ask forgiveness and remember with every breath, every step He is the King of kings and Savior of the world. Leaning in on our elbows, in a sun drenched meadow, may be exactly what is needed to listen for the voice of God to speak into our heart.

Galatians 3 The Passion Translation

28 And we no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ with no distinction between us.
29 And since you’ve been united to Jesus the Messiah, you are now Abraham’s “child” and inherit all the promises of the kingdom realm!
