CNN Settles Suit by Covington Kid Nicholas Sandmann By Craig Bannister for CNS News

GNN Note – Serious admission of guilt by CNN. Now, to focus on Twitter and the other lawsuits, which I believe there are a total of 4 all for the same amount – $275 million. I pray that young Sandmann does something worthwhile with a portion of the funds and creates something beautiful, that glorifies God.

As CNSNews.com reported at the time, citing an article by NewsBusters, Sandmann filed a 58-page suit against CNN in March of 2019:

“In an incredibly-detailed 58-page suit, the firms of L. Lin Wood and Hemmer DeFrank Wessels alleged CNN aired and published “at least four (4) defamatory television broadcasts and nine (9) defamatory online articles” in addition to a deleted tweet by CNN political commentator Bakari Sellers that called for Sandmann to be assaulted.”

The lawsuit pertained to coverage of an encounter Sandmann and other Covington High Schools students attending the 2019 March for Life in Washington, D.C. had with a protester.

On Tuesday, local Covington, Kentucky station Fox 19 reported that CNN has agreed to settle the suit:

“The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington, Kentucky.”

The Washington Examiner has subsequently reported that it has independently confirmed with CNN’s lawyers that a settlement has been reached.
