Through Him We Have Received Grace…

That day we awaken to find that our whole life changes is the greatest day of our entire life on earth. When we come to realize that Jesus Christ is our redeemer, our Savior, our life, there is no greater moment that a person can ever experience. The outward declaration of baptism is a beautiful moment of celebration, but may not be the “shock and awe” to our system that rebirth has on our soul.

If one has experienced such a moment it becomes a responsibility to share what happened, how it happened and tell others they, too, can have the same experience in their lives. The Holy Bible is filled with this happening. The Holy Bible, from Torah – the “old testament” through the New Covenant – the “new testament” – one can read time and again how people were absolutely a shell of a person until our Lord breathed life into our dry bones.

No one – not one person – is too far gone. Not one person, no matter what the devil tells you how bad it is, no one is too far removed from the love of God, the redemption of Jesus Christ, filled with grace and His loving mercy. Of course, we don’t deserve it, that’s the whole point. If we deserved it, there would be no weight to the transformation. There would be no “shock and awe” when Jesus Christ floods our veins with Living Water.

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; ~ Romans 1:1-6 NKJB

Saul, who would become Paul, like us here today, did not walk with Jesus Christ, however, Paul, like us here today, was saved, transformed and, literally, shared with the world how Jesus Christ saved, changed and redeemed him from his dead self. We can all have exactly what Saul / Paul had happen. We are not too far gone, too far removed from the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
