Be Bold…

What do we fear, aside from everything? Why do we fear everything in our path? Is this life what it appears to be or are we on a journey from the point of conception to the end of time?

Reaching the point of disgust with fear is what some refer to as “rock bottom”. When one has had enough of fear they turn away. The sad part is, the deep, dark fear is often replaced with a more subtle form of fear. Fear of the future and guilt of the past are what drives most us mad, or at least compels us to turn our back to God and swallow whatever floats by.

As Saul had been given his Christ identity of Paul he awakened from his slumber and began shouting his love for the Lord. Paul, not Saul, stood up in front of the high priest and began sharing the gospel and teaching the high priest the path to Life, Freedom and God. The path that Jesus Christ traveled, the path they must follow if they wanted the Truth.

Now when Paul and his party set sail from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem. But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down. And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.”
Then Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen: ~Acts 13:13-16 NKJV

The way this reads in the Bible shows Paul traveling, getting off the boat, meeting with the high priest and as soon as he is given the opportunity to he acts without delay, without hesitation. This is the same reaction that Peter, who was called Simon, had when the Holy Spirit filled him and directed his actions. With these two ordinary men what we see is not quiet a habit, but definitely a pattern.

Two men, ordinary men, who found their identity in Christ Jesus and changed their lives without delay, without hesitation and now because of their actions and writings we now have the same opportunity in Christ Jesus to find our identity in Him and act without delay, without hesitation.

What do we fear, aside from everything? Why do we fear everything in our path? Why, as ordinary men, women and children, why do we not stand before other ordinary men, women and children and proclaim the Truth, the Way and the Life? This is what we were made for!!

Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
