Obtained Favor In His Sight…

In our life of sin we, somehow by the grace of the Lord our God, obtain favor in His sight. When the Lord our God looks upon us He sees us through the blood of Jesus Christ. God sees us, even in our sin, as His child, perfect, anointed and holy. We can do not that; we can not earn that. It is a gift for those that believe. It is a gift that should not be squandered. It is as precious as life itself.

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. ~ Esther 5:2 KJB

As Jesus Christ draws us near through grace and mercy we can touch the goodness of Love. The Light of His Love draws us near as we are humbled by His presence, His Word and unending Love for us. It is by our faith that we come near to Jesus Christ. It is by our faith that we follow His word. It is by living our faith that others see His mighty works in us and want to know more about this life we live.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. ~ Hebrews 11:6 KJB

We act when God moves. We work as though God is watching, even in the times when no one is watching, and God sees. We seek Him, first, and ask for our works to be made pleasing to Him.

If our works be pleasing unto God should we hold vengeance against our enemy? Should we be angered at others who, in the past, have formed weapons against us? If the Lord our God has pulled us from the fire of sin and damnation, should we not be working to do so for others? Should we not be willing to stand in the strength and power of the Lord even if we are to perish in doing so?

What weapon formed against us, created by our enemy, can prosper if we are standing in the strength, love and power of Jesus Christ?

However, if we stand not in the strength, love and power of Jesus Christ what is the alternative?

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
