Upon Them Hath The Light Shined…
Light.
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. ~ Isiah 9:2 KJB
We are to be a reflection of God’s Light. Where does this Light originate? For us, it’s origins are in Jesus Christ, the Great I Am. The beginning of all, the end all. We walk in His ways and others see this Light reflected upon us and they want to be near this warm glow from which they know not.

We, the believers of Christ Jesus, are His ambassadors. Our actions combined with our words, are a testimony of who Jesus is in our life. Our actions, combined with our words, are the direct reflection of the Light that is upon a hill. When a person turns on a light the darkness flees, the darkness trembles and the darkness can not overcome the Light. This is how we walk in His honor.
As we reflect His Light and as it shines upon others we are glorifying God. We are speaking Truth to power. We are speaking Truth to evil and evil can not stand – will not stand. As our Light grows stronger we grow stronger in the Power, the Light and the Strength of God.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. ~ Matthew 5:14 KJB
We are the city on the hill. We should act like it, we should speak like it and we should walk in it – at all times.
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
