Behold, I Have Told You Before…

Jesus, our Lord and Savior, rarely raised His voice or had an unkind word to share. We sinners, on the other hand, are often harsh with our family and friends, coworkers and even strangers we come in contact. We are not suggesting this is the norm, but it is a reality.

One occasion where Jesus, not raising His voice, but probably speaking with a very heavy heart, is explaining the coming time after the Temple is thrown to the ground and no stone is left one on top of another.

Matthew 24 lays out the time we live in such detail that it is difficult to overlook, nor to ignore and say that it is not happening.

Some of the highlights in this amazing prophecy are as follows…

war and rumors of war
days of Noe, just before the flood
kingdom against kingdom
nation against nation
many shall be offended
many will betray one another
many will hate one another
many will be killed for His name sake
believers will hated by all nations
false prophets will deceive many

This is a short list, but it paints a picture of what we see in this world today. If one looks back over the past two-three decades one would see a great many more of the prophecies Jesus proclaimed in this one chapter. One would see this world is on a collision course with destiny.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before. ~ Matthew 24:22-25 KJB

We are not proclaiming anything. We are not saying the end is nigh, We are saying the prophecies laid out, described in great detail by Jesus Christ more than 2,000 years ago are unfolding in front of those with eyes to see and ears to hear. It is not a hard stretch to see what is happening in our communities, in our schools and other institutions, in our government and most importantly in our families. We pray more will awaken to these prophecies and see and hear what Jesus told us would happen and is happening. We pray that more will come home to Jesus and be saved from the sins they have committed.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
