The Lord Is Merciful And Gracious…

Our Lord, God, is sovereign over all. It is by His Word that we know Him. It is by the signs and wonders done in the Lords name of His Son, Jesus Christ, that we know He is the great I Am. It is when we forget these that our life seems to go off the rails and we stumble falling from grace.

The Lord is gracious to give us “what we deserve” for if He did there would be far fewer of us in this world than we see today. Oh my soul, our Lord is slow to wrath and slow to judgement and does not hold our transgressions against us.

The LORD is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide:
Neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins;
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. ~ Psalm 103:8-10 KJB

Lord knows His Word has pulled many of us from a consuming fire, a prison cell and grace too deep to ever climb out. Yes, we owe our Lord, God, our Heavenly Father all that we are, all that we have. We are loved. We are saved through the mercy and grace of our Father’s Son, Jesus Christ. We will not be left alone. We will not be consumed by the fire, for Jesus Christ is with us and will never leave us.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,
And his righteousness unto children’s children;
To such as keep his covenant,
And to those that remember his commandments to do them.
The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens;
And his kingdom ruleth over all. ~ Psalm 103:17-19 KJB

Who am I but a blade of grass in a field to blown by the wind. To be forgotten in the morrow. But our Lord, our God, His Son, Jesus Christ, Immanuel, shall reign forevermore.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
