My Spirit Who Is Upon You…

My Spirit Who Is Upon You…

What happens when we listen, intently, to God’s voice? What happens when we act on what He says?

“As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.” ~ Isiah 59:21 NKJB

A few years back we began a morning prayer with a neighbor. We would read the Word of God, pray and listen. We talked about what the Word was saying to us, to our circumstances and about our community. It is one of the most beautiful times in our lives. We both moved and the situation ended. We often talk about what happened, the impact on our lives and long for a return to the porch on a cool morning in prayer.

The thing is, we it only happened, maybe, a couple of times a week for a handful of months. The impact is unlike anything that could ever be described to you or anyone else. It changed our lives in ways we never imagined. Our individual prayer lives increased to such a degree that we found ourselves deep in prayer multiple times a day. The visions, the wonders and the signs that happened during that time and, more importantly, to this day, are profound.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:26-28 KJB

At the time God spoke and said create an army of angels. God, in another moment, raised His voice to say run a marathon. Marathon are long events that come in many forms. It never sounded like a running-race type of an event. It was as if God was saying prepare for a long-term event that will take you places never dreamed. It is usually some time after that we begin to see how things are planned out, mapped out and what, specifically, God was telling us. It has been unfolding over the past four-five years now and the marathon is finally getting started in earnest.

With an angel in the Northeast, two in middle-eastern Tennessee and one in south-middle Tennessee the angels are spreading out, impacting others and making more angels where they stand. These new angels will, in time and in turn, make even more angels. There are still other angels that are moving into southern Kentucky, western Tennessee and all points beyond.

When man listens, God Speaks. When man obeys, God Acts. Don’t allow the still small voice to go unnoticed. Don’t allow the still small voice to be ignored. Don’t allow the grace and miracles that God has in store for your life to pass by without reaching for His Way, His Truth and His Life.

If there is an opportunity to pray with another person, especially close to daybreak, please, please consider making it happen. The blessings that begin to reign in your life will shake you to the core. God has a Word just for you, in this day and all the days to come. We just need to listen for it and then act upon it.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
