He Fell To The Ground And Worshiped…

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” ~ Job 1:8 NKJB

Stand-fast with the Lord, our God. He is our Strength, our Shield and our Wisdom. We are able to do all things through Him, but we must remember that God, and only God, provides all that we have, all that we are and all that is to come. Sometimes what is to come is not what we expect nor what we want. It is easy to praise God when times are good, but what about when trouble arises and loss is at our door? Do we still see the beauty of God in all the works or only in the blessings? God is at work in everything that happens – God is in the good things and God is in the unpleasant. It is how we see it, it is how we hear it that determines how quickly the Beauty of God is revealed in every situation.

Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”
So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. ~ Job 1:10-12 NKJB

It is when we loose everything, when we have nothing, this is when the Lord does His best work – so long as we see it, hear it and trust in it. It is only by hitting “rock bottom” that we understand we are powerless, that we must the Lord in our life and that it is by His will and only His will that our lives have any meaning or that we receive blessings of any kind. So long as our heart is hardened we can not receive the endless blessings that our Lord and Savior has promised us, however, as soon as we have lost it all we come to believe.

Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.
And he said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. ~ Job 1:20-22 NKJB

Even when the devil, satan, himself steals all that we have the Lord, our God, never will leaves us, so long as we call upon His name, the name of Jesus Christ.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
