With One Mind And One Mouth Glorify…

When our hearts are light and airy our step usually follows suit. When the Light of the Lord is shining through our heart the weight we were carrying falls to the floor and we can once again breathe with ease.

As we live with the Word and spend more and more time in the Word our step should become lighter and our words should begin to be spoken differently. Our speech should sound differently as those in our lives begin to realize that something is new. Those around us see a different step being taken. The Bread we eat and the Water we drink, somehow appear different than before. Yes, as the Word of the Living God begins to take root in our heart and soul we begin to reflect that which flows through our veins. We are no longer concerned with the things of this world and our focus begins to shift.

The care and concern of others becomes our focus. No longer is our life as important as the lives of those around us. Our life has become but a vessel to serve others, share love with others and help others to rise up out and break the chains that bind their heart.

For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.” For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ Romans 14:3-6 NKJB

When we focus our mind, renew our mind and transform our mind to turn towards Jesus Christ, then our heart, soul and strength will follow. We will be able to show, without so much as a saying a single word, show those around us that we are a new creature living under the atonement of Jesus Christ’ grace and mercy.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
