Rejoicing Always Before Him…

Rejoicing Always Before Him…

Does wisdom simply materialize or show up at our door step? Do we have to chase it down and wrestle with wisdom in order to obtain it and make it our own? Does wisdom belong to us or is it a gift from God?

Does not wisdom cry?
And understanding put forth her voice?
She stands in the top of high places, by the way
In the places of the paths.
She cries at the gates, at the entry of the city,
At the coming in at the doors.
Unto you, O men, I call;
And my voice is to the sons of man. ~ Proverbs 8:1-4 KJB

Wisdom is waiting upon our approach. She awaits our coming forth, seeking her diligently with every step. Wisdom is how we avoid chaos. Wisdom is learned from the folly of others. A smart man learns from his mistakes. A wise man learns from the mistakes of others. Hear her voice crying out from the mistakes of others as wisdom stands in high places.

As our days unfold we can avoid folly, avoid mistakes. It is very simple. We seek the wisdom of Jesus Christ, first, in all that we do and we pay attention to His voice that carries our instructions.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things;
And the opening of my lips shall be right things.
For my mouth shall speak truth;
And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;
There is nothing froward or perverse in them. ~ Proverbs 8:6-8 KJB

God is incapable of speaking untruths. God is incapable of instructing us to be disobedient, cruel or live unrighteous. This would go against the essence of God.

In prayer do we ask for Christ’ wisdom? We should. In prayer do we seek, first, the Counsel of the Holy Spirit? We should. Is this not where we would find wisdom? Would not the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ be a wellspring of wisdom for our life? We should seek, first, Christ’ wisdom before speaking, before acting. This is the sign of true wisdom.

Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom:
I am understanding; I have strength.
By me kings reign,
And princes decree justice.
By me princes rule,
And nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
I love them that love me;
And those that seek me early shall find me. ~ Proverbs 8:14-17 KJB

Seek, first, the Counsel of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ and watch wisdom show up, take charge and change the situation. Wisdom has always rejoiced before God, has always walked with God and has been brought up with God. As God grows, wisdom grows.

When He prepared the heavens, I was there,
When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
When He established the clouds above,
When He strengthened the fountains of the deep,
When He assigned to the sea its limit,
So that the waters would not transgress His command,
When He gave to the sea His decree,
That the waters should not pass His commandment:
When He appointed the foundations of the earth:
Then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him:
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him; ~ Proverbs 8:27-30 NKJB

Wisdom teaches us to seek, first, the Kingdom of God in all that we do. Ask for the Mind of Christ to be bound with our mind and knock upon the door of prudence.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
