Because This Was In Thine Heart…

Because This Was In Thine Heart…

When we live in the will of the Lord, seek first His Kingdom and place the Lord our God as our priority the Lord blesses our lives in ways that we are not familiar. We may go bed one night a pauper and awaken, with no effort of our own, with gold and silver as plentiful as stones on the ground. This is how the Lord, our God, works in the lives of those who follow, those who obey and those who believe.

When we live in the Light of the Lord we may awaken one morning and find that nothing has changed, except our heart is filled with the joy of the Lord. We may awaken to find trauma has settled in for a moment and we are to find the beauty of God within the broken pieces. We are no longer in charge, we are living, walking and talking in the will of the Lord through Jesus Christ. We have new employer and He is Emmanuel, God with us. We must first serve Him, then all else will be added. We see this, once again, in Solomon’s life as Solomon seeks first the blessing of the Lord to cleanse his heart, strengthen his soul and provide the Wisdom of the Lord to lead the people of Israel.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. ~ 2 Chronicles 1:10-12 KJB

Those of us living in the Light of the Lord, Jesus Christ, see this exact teaching of Jesus Christ. We are to seek, first, the Kingdom of God and God will provide the increase. It’s not hard nor difficult to understand. We seek, first, we follow, we obey and we share the wisdom of God that has been imparted in our lives with those around us and God provides the increase. Time and again we see this throughout the Bible. We seek, first, God’s wisdom, God’s knowledge and God’s will then we start our day, we seek God’s will, then we take the next step, we seek God’s will, then we speak to others.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
