After They Have Escaped The Pollutions Of The World…

The beauty of God is all around us, it is built-in to every situation of our lives. Sometimes it jumps out at us like a Jack-in-the-box and other times it may take some real effort, real prayer and real time in order for it to be revealed. Rest assured it is built-in to every tragedy in everyone’s life. No one can get away from it.

God has ordained us with free will or we can follow God’s will. When we follow God’s will seeing His beauty in a tragic situation becomes far easier as our relationship with Him, around Him and in Him grows deeper and deeper doors that may have blended into the landscape for years swing open. When our eyes are open we see things more clearly. What had been previously hidden in the passing landscape becomes a magnificently sculpted work of art. We no longer, with clinched fist shaken at the sky ask “why” when a loved one becomes ill or passes away. No, we simply seek, first, to know what God wants us to learn, what God wants us to do.

We continually hear that we are to question everything, which for the most part is a fair sentiment. Does this apply to the Word of God? Not for me. The Word is alive, the Word is Jesus Christ, Emmanuel. He, Jesus Christ, is the Word. He, Jesus Christ, is God with us. He has already warned us that others will push towards “why” and forgo “what” or “how”. We are to be on high alert at all times when it comes to the Word of God, Jesus Christ, and what we should do.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. ~ II Peter 2:2-3 KJB

We know what we are to do, however, doing the right thing takes time and it takes effort. We must actually do something in order for something good to manifest. Even if is a simple prayer or a quick praise of honor and glory to God Almighty. Action in righteousness brings forth beauty. Words spoken as a reflection of the Word, drenched in the Living Waters, bring about a wellspring of undeniable beauty that can only originate from God. The beauty of God is built-in, we just need to see it or seek it first.

Those that have seen the beauty of God, breathed deeply of His amazing Word but somehow no longer believe and now refute the Word, well, those brothers and sisters will have their day. While it takes no effort to return to a life of sin, there is a great cost to be paid. Once a person sees the Light, walks in the Light and shines the Light for others to experience and then turns away…

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. ~ II Peter 2:20-21 KJB

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
