I Will Give Thee The Treasures Of Darkness…

I Will Give Thee The Treasures Of Darkness…

Where is the best treasure to be found? Should we search high and low for riches in secret places? What treasures are to be found when we begin searching; when we begin digging? Where would we even start? Oh, how our heart seeks the treasure.

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. ~ Isiah 45:2-3 KJB

In our greatest pain, at our lowest points and when the brokenness seems to be impossible to fix this is where the greatest treasure is found. This is when our heart is most open and this is when Jesus Christ steps into our lives and makes His presence known. Yes, Jesus is always with us, but when all else fails, He saves us. All glory, all honor and all praise are His. We rarely do the right thing, so the opportunities to gather in riches are plentiful throughout each day.

As we trudge the road of happy destiny we sing His praise, or we turn our back. We delight in the treasures we found or we gather up items that can be stolen, rust into nothingness or never held any value from the start. Are we filling holes and are we Living in Him?

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it. ~ Isiah 45:7-8 KJB

We have free will to walk alone or walk with the Lord. We can see to it that our relationship is solid as a rock or we can loose the entire relationship – until we realize our strength is never, ever enough. It is by the Hand of God that we accomplish anything in this world. We are in this world, but we are not of this world. We are Ambassadors of the Kingdom and we should live like it every second of every day.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
