That They All May Be One…

That They All May Be One…

As a child we are innocent. We are individuals that need direction for all aspects of our life. We are 100% reliant upon others. As reborn followers of Jesus Christ our individual lives now belong to Jesus Christ. It is by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus Christ that we are reborn into the Spirit of God. It is the Holy Spirit that provides us Comfort and Counsel as we receive our Christ identity that our personality reflects Jesus Christ and no longer displays our individual traits. We belong to Jesus Christ and He belongs to us.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; that they all may be one; as You, Father, art in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that You have sent Me. ~ John 17:20-21 KJB

When we receive our Christ identity and our individuality begins to disappear our personality will begin emerging and this world begin to see someone different. This world, the people around us, will begin seeing a direct reflection of Christ and no longer see the person they knew for all those days, weeks, months and years. Very few of us will experience a Saul on the road to Damascus transition, some will, but most it will take time, experience, sacrifice and acceptance. Those around us will begin moving, some will move closer and others will disappear from view.

We shall speak of Jesus to those we meet in the streets. We shall speak of Jesus to those we work with, live with and spend time with. We should speak the Word of God at every opportunity presented. We are no longer an individual but a bondservant of Christ and, as such, His personality is what people see. Seeking the Kingdom of God first, should become as simple as breathing – not right away, but as we spend more time with the Holy Spirit our lives will transform. Our Christ identity will become our personality that all the world will see and no one in our presence will be able to deny that Jesus Christ and the Word of God are alive.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
