What He Thinks He Has…

What He Thinks He Has…

When a person gets to the gate of the city and their chariot collapses how do they proceed, how do they enter the city?

Those that are born again have been given the Light and should place it on a lampstand for all the world to see. Our Light should never be put under a bed or covered up with basket. It is to be shared, it is to pierce the darkness wherever it shines.

If the Light has been veiled in a shroud others will know. We may think it can not be seen, but all things are known. All that it is hidden will be revealed.

For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. ~ Luke 8:17 NASB95

When things are taken away from us, it is by God’s hand that a reckoning occurs.

So take care how you listen; for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has shall be taken away from him.” ~ Luke 8:18 NASB95

Are we tainted, are we broken, is there any returning to God? How do we “hear” again? As we are listening what do we hear?

If these are the Words of Jesus Christ then some of us are not going to be able to proceed. Some of us will be traveling to our next appointment, an appointment of great importance and our chariot will suddenly stop. The whole thing will lay on the side of the road in ruin. Our appointment will go unattended.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
