it should be more like
as we rely on Him, He works for us
as the bridegroom worked for the bride, and bride relied on the bridegroom to continue its living in the old times,
Jesus also works for us and we rely on Him
He and we are in the contract of grace and new covenant
that we became His bride waiting for Him
