President Trump: ‘I Think Our Nation Is in Great Trouble’ by Corine Gatti-Santillo, CNJ Editor for Christian News Journal

Former President Donald Trump said America is in trouble and needs a savior. However, that someone is “much higher up” than him, he shared before Christmas in a 10-minute speech. “We’re in trouble. I think our nation in great trouble,” he added during an address at First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Trump added that the country is in bad shape. Look no further than the decision to withdraw troops in Afghanistan as “that was done so badly.” Afghanistan collapsed in August after experts warned Biden not to withdraw the military after a 20-year military presence.

According to Trump, his administration left Biden with contingency plans. Biden abandoned Trump’s peace agenda and declined a conditions-based withdrawal.

“Afghanistan is the most embarrassing military outcome in the history of the United States,” said Trump in response. “It didn’t have to be that way!” Biden told the American people that the Taliban would not take over Afghanistan after he ordered the removal of US troops.

“Our country needs a savior right now, and our country has a Savior, and that’s not me – that’s somebody much higher up than me, much higher up,” Trump told Dr. Robert Jeffress, the pastor. He also added the life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ forever “changed the world.”
