He Is Before All Things…

He Is Before All Things…

God is everything. God was before time. God is during our time and God will be for all time. Jesus Christ, Emmanuel who is God with us, the image of God, is the Great I Am.

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. ~ John 17:20-21 NKJB

We are in God who is in Jesus Christ who is in God which means we are in God and in Jesus Christ. We are all together, but we are of the flesh and They are of Spirit alive in us and we are alive in Them. Everything we do, everything we think and everything that is came from God. Everything. When we seek the Kingdom of God first we are honoring the position God holds in our life – first, above all, above everything, because He is everything.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. ~ Colossians 1:16-18 NKJB

How can we be separated from God when He is, literally, everything and we are in Him and He is in us? We can’t, it’s physically impossible. We can deny, we can lie to ourselves, and others, but the Truth is, we can not be separated from God under any circumstance.

We spend so much of our life attempting to separate ourselves from God that it becomes exhausting. We finally hit some sort of “rock bottom” in our lives and then comes the “fork-in-the-road” a “turning point” or an “inflection point”. There must be a decision made as to how the remainder of our life will be lead. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are or what your belief system is as of this day. The facts are this, and nothing else…God either is everything or He is nothing. God either provides for all our needs, because He is our need, or He provides nothing. Either we accept this at face-value or we reject it and continue living a life of sin kidding ourselves that we have somehow separated from the Son of God, Jesus Christ. We haven’t; we simply pretend we have. We can no more separate ourselves from the love of Jesus Christ than we can separate ourselves from oxygen… which is supplied by God.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
