Known Unto God…

Known Unto God…

Many, many words are shared on a regular basis surrounding prayer. There is a very important reason why this is the case. Prayer is many things to our lives. It is a communication tool between ourselves and God. It is a communication tool between ourselves, on others behalf, and God. It is a communication tool that allows us to stay connected to God with each step taken, with each breath drawn and with each encounter we make with other people throughout our day. It is the strongest tool in our toolbox of life. It is the best tool in our possession. There is no better tool we have for guiding and directing our lives than seeking first the Kingdom of God and the only way to do that is through prayer.

One could easily find fifteen+ versus in the Bible that speak directly to the power of prayer. The Power found in the name, Jesus Christ, comes to life in us when we call upon Him by His name. This is called prayer. If we call upon Jesus Christ, and especially when we do it first – at the beginning of something instead of the middle or when it has failed – then He provides clear direction.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ~ John 1:1 KJB

If the Word was the beginning and the Word was God and in God, if we speak with God, through Words spoken audibly, we are, in fact, communicating directly with God. It says so right there in John 1:1.

In the beginning was the Word – seeking God first, in the beginning.

the Word was with God – speaking directly with God, audibly. Saying words out loud to God means He hears us and we hear what we are saying which impacts what we are saying.

the Word was God – We come to understand and accept that God is in us and we are in God. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. (John 14:20)

We get all this simply by praying out loud to God. Imagine if we did this all throughout the day and night? Imagine how much different our lives would be, which in turn, would beg the question, how much different our world would be.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. ~ Mark 11:24 KJB

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7 KJB

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ~ James 5:16 KJB

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
