Tarry Ye Here…

Tarry Ye Here…

As we mourn, we are blessed. This can be confusing, at least to some, as it sounds like a contradiction. Pain and suffering bring about joy and rejoicing. As the pain subsides and joy takes over, the beauty of God is often revealed. Do we always see it? Nope. Do we always realize that it is there among the broken pieces? Nope. That doesn’t mean it’s not their nor does it mean it doesn’t exist. It does and it is – always. We have to look for it.

Prayer is our greatest weapon that sits on the shelf unused ready to go at a moments notice. Let’s pause and pray right now. Just take a couple of minutes and visit with our Creator.

After 59 days of prayer for a friend, with some 300+ people, the power can be felt. Now that most of the people have dropped out, that can be felt as well. It is by the continuation of prayer that the full power of God, through prayer, becomes known. It was Jesus Christ that would go off, multiple times a day and pray to our Father. It was Jesus Christ that taught us how to pray and how not to pray that we may seek firs the Kingdom of God, Kingdom of Heaven. We may know Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit is with us always. He will never leave us, He will never turn away from us.

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; and saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. ~ Mark 14:32-36

Was Jesus asking the three to pray together as they waited for Jesus who had stepped away to pray in solitude? If they didn’t pray would their situations have changed had they prayed?

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
