Walk In The Spirit…

Walk In The Spirit…

Does “the law”, God’s law – the Hebrew scripture, the Torah – save us from ourselves and save us from sin? No, it can not. The law teaches us what ails us. “Thou shall not…” is how several of the Ten Commandments begin. We know we are not to murder, not to steal, not to get drunk, not to take drugs recreationally. We know these things because of the Torah.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” ~ Galatians 5:14 NKJB

We are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. Our sins are removed from us because the Holy Spirit came to the world and lives in us. We live in the body of Christ. We are reborn into the Body of Christ. We are captive, we are bondservants of Christ, we are friends to and He, Jesus Christ is a friend to us.

Jesus Christ loved us first. Through His love for us we should be humbled to the point of grasping the meaning of the Cross. We should love one another and look for the good in each other. Yes, we are under attack, by the enemy – the devil – as we get closer to Jesus Christ, as we walk with Jesus Christ throughout all the day, the evil that surrounds us finds it far more difficult to slip through the cracks because all the cracks have been filled, covered with the blood of Jesus Christ. We see love instead of anger, We see love instead of a threat. We see love instead of a drug addict. We see love instead of…

I say then Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. ~ Galatians 5:16-18 NKJB

As we grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, fills us, leads us and comforts us. The Spirit fills our homes, fills our minds and walks beside us. Who wouldn’t want that in their life?

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
