Be Holy…
Do we live holy lives? Are we walking in the full knowledge and light of Jesus Christ? Is it possible to achieve such a lofty height?
When the devil invades our mind and we are triggered by one of a million, trillion things that happen around us we step out, maybe just for a nanosecond, we step out of the holiness of God. This is the difference between us flesh dwellers and Jesus Christ. While Jesus did walk among us, as man, He remained perfect, we, on the other hand, not-so-much. It is our mind, our knowledge, our unwillingness to bind our mind with the Mind of Christ that hampers our walk. These are good starting points. These are not the only starting points nor are these but a glimpse of what knocks us off our walk as holy men and women, sons and daughter of God.
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” ~ 1 Peter 1:13-16 NKJB

With a clear mind towards Jesus Christ, being filled with the Holy Spirit, it should be much easier to love one another, see one another as brothers and sisters in Christ and disallow any unclean thoughts to enter. It is by the resurrected Christ we have the Power, His Power, to do exactly as He commands. We have all that we need in order to keep our thoughts on Christ, keep our thoughts about others pure, serve others as Christ served us, forgive others as Jesus Christ so mercifully has forgiven us. We are sons and daughters of God, we are children belonging to God, what can stop us? What can come against us? We can, and should, walk in holiness at all times. We should be humble servants of the Lord with every step, with every breath.
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because
“All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
But the word of the Lord endures forever.”
Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. ~1 Peter 1:22-25 NKJB
We are holy because Jesus Christ is holy as we are in Him and Jesus Christ is in us.
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
