Substance and Evidence…

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. ~Hebrews 11:1-2 NKJB

It is in our belief that all things begin to unfold. It is the Way of Jesus Christ that fills our cup and nourishes our bodies, we can not do that.  When we drink of the Living Water we thirst no more and when we eat of the Bread of Life we hunger no more. Fear begins to subside and the voice of the enemy begins to quiet down.

When love becomes our vision we see more clearly, when this love illuminates the narrow path the broad spectrum of Life in Christ can be seen with each step taken.

By faith understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. ~Hebrews 11:3 NKJB

Which “worlds”? Why plural? How many worlds exist? We know of two – the seen and the unseen. It is in the unseen world that our relationship with Jesus Christ begins to manifest. It is in our quiet time with Him, listening for guidance, acting upon His Word that we receive that His will begins to materialize in our the world seen.

We must seek His word throughout the day, We must seek His face, His beauty in all situations that He, Jesus Christ, will be revealed in a Peace that is not of the this world, it is from a place that we know not. It is a calm in our heart, in our soul and provides the strength in all we do, in each we take and every breath in our lungs.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. ~Hebrews 11:6 NKJB

Becoming alive in Christ, in our Christ identity, we live. Not only do we live it becomes our desire to share the treasure that was given to us, our desire is to share this with others. It is our testimony of Christ, the Living, Breathing Word of God, that brings life to others and brings life abundantly. It is this Love, it is this beauty that is only seen through the eyes of God that we have any breath, we have any treasure, that we have life.

Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. ~Hebrews 11:12

What a treasure, indeed, that has showered our lives. Substance and evidence abound, if we simply receive the gift of the Living Water in Christ Jesus, Emmanuel. If we simply share this Truth of this Treasure with others, the stars in the sky will multiply as the sand on the seashore grows to numerous to count.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
