My Best Friend…
All of the lights I chased, now are faded
Dylan was right, the times they are changing
Tell me why society’s plan should define who I am
Surely there’s a higher way ~Best Friend, Josh Baldwin
When we think of friends a lot of people rarely, if ever, place Jesus Christ in the first position. Most people will name another human they know. The question is, who knows you better than you know yourself? Who has been with you since before you were born – you know, in your Mother’s womb?
Few are Prophets but we all can prophesize. We are granted that Liberty from God, we should use it.
Now is your chance to support Gospel News Network.
We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Then said I:
“Ah, Lord God!
Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”
But the Lord said to me:
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
For you shall go to all to whom I send you,
And whatever I command you, you shall speak. ~Jeremiah 1:5-7 NKJB
If Jesus Christ knew us, while in our mothers womb, who could be closer to us than He? Try it on for size and see what happens. When the opportunity arises announce Jesus Christ is at the top of your friends list – your go-to friend. The next time your behind is falling off or your hair is on fire, maybe you want feel the need to cry out, but to reach out since He will already be part of the scenario. Maybe instead of your behind falling off, maybe it will only be bruised a little. Maybe instead of your hair being on fire, maybe the spark will be extinguished before it has time to do any damage.
If we believe in Jesus Christ, if we believe the Words of Jeremiah, we should own them. We should act like it. We should, unashamedly announce the name of Jesus Christ at every turn.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
