Obedient Be-cause…

Obedient Be-cause…

We are called to be children of God, we are His children because He called us to be. We are not obedient because we are ordered to do something, we are obedient to be-causal for Him. We should be reflecting the Way in His name.

Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations [ethnos in the Greek (a race, people)] for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; ~Romans 1:5-6 NKJB

We are bondservants of Christ by His calling, we should act like it. Are we ashamed of the Gospel or do we proclaim at every opportunity? Do we sound the name above all names, Jesus Christ, as often as possible, especially in public places? We would not do this for boasting or announcing our holiness but for the purpose of glorifying His name and to offer His living word to those around us who are desperate to be drawn near to God and don’t even know it.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” ~Romans 1:16-17 NKJB

We are given breath in order to spread the Gospel, share the Living Word and to live for Him. Our desire should always be to live for Him, seek His knowledge, beauty and love. The war is over we should shout we are no longer orphans we belong to Him and we want to help others find their way home to find the loving peace, the glorious morning and the overflowing well that never runs dry.

It is finished.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
