Meeting God…

Meeting God…

Do we need to schedule an appointment to meet God? What is the challenge we face in our attempts at meeting God? What is blocking us from God?

God is with us all the time… He will never forsake us, He will never leave us and He is leading us by being in front of us, behind us, beside us and, most importantly, inside us. We, on the other hand, will turn away from God quicker than lightning and not even think about it.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” ~Hebrews 13:5 NKJB

One of the challenges we face on a daily basis is keeping our mind focused on God. Therefore, learning how to pay attention to discriminatory detail in our life is a key element to keeping God in the forefront of our thoughts. By doing this we automatically move in The Way He wills for our lives. It is when our mind is clouded with the voice of the devil, our eyes are filled with lust and our heart is tainted with bitterness that we suddenly realize something has gotten out of balance.

One of the best ways to stay focused on God, and the goodness of God, is to simply remain in a state of prayer. If a person has 30 seconds of downtime they have 30 seconds to praise and thank God for the breathe in their lungs. This simple little thing will keep God on our heart and in our mind.

But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? ~Mark 2:8 NKJB

The longer we keep it out of our heart, the longer we keep it out of our mind and the more likely we are to find ourselves separated from Jesus Christ.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
