The God Who Speaks…

The God Who Speaks…

You have to live it – you can not study it.

What we have lost is our Christ identity. When God wants to speak to you does He call you by a political party affiliation, your job title or something else? What does God call you when He has something to say to you?

Oh, you say God doesn’t speak to you? Have you tried asking, seeking and knocking for a length of time? What about the still small voice? What about all the other references that Jesus makes in the Holy Bible – any translation you like – regarding how God the Father, Jesus, the Son of Man and the Holy Spirit all speak to us? Does none of that matter? Does that only apply to other people and not you?

If that’s the case please explain this…There is no one person being addressed, all people are being addressed…every tongue, every tribe, every nation, forever more.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
But he that enters entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the porter opens; openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls calleth his own sheep by name, and leads leadeth them out.
And when he puts putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. ~John 10:1-5 KJB

When we read this in the Holy Bible what are we to think; what are we to believe? That Jesus Christ was describing this for only the Apostles and not the Disciples? If that were so He would not have said –

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. ~John 10:16 KJB

When do you listen for His voice? When do you honor, glorify and follow His voice? When do we accept that every person can hear God’s voice if they ask, seek and knock on the door of the shepherd? We will know it is the voice of God as it will be true.

We have His Word to tell us whom is speaking…

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. ~Hebrews 4-12 KJB

Love is the dividing rod. Goodness, kindness, glory…does the Word we hear stand up to these, along with other godly, attributes?

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
