Prayer Is A Most Powerful Weapon…

Prayer Is A Most Powerful Weapon…

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. ~Acts 1:14 NKJB

The great features…the great happenings in the Book of Acts are always linked to prayer. We are about to have, literally, heaven invade earth in the upper room. What proceeded…ten days of prayer. I like to put this way…before heaven ever invaded earth, earth invaded heaven for ten days. ~Bill Johnson, Bethel Church

See what happens just after prayer time, in the upper room, when the Holy Ghost (Spirit) fills each person in attendance, allowing each person to spread the Word of God in the languages of the world so that all would hear and know. Prayer is a most powerful weapon.

The wonders, miracles and signs of the earth that are shown to the disciples as the Holy Spirit is given to humanity. Who doesn’t want to experience something of that nature? We can, we should and with prayer, purity of heart and God’s willingness we shall.

When we go into prayer, we are entering into the mystery of God. Sure, we have our agenda, a list of names and situations that we ask for God’s mercy and grace, we have all kinds of things to pray about…what about God…what about the Lords plans of us…what about the mysteries  that we didn’t know existed until we quieted the mind, slowed the heart and opened our soul to receive His miraculous gifts? Isn’t that what we seek? Isn’t that the answer to all our questions?

Fire away, give it your best shot, but don’t miss the real time to spend with the Lord, the quiet time, the time void of as much noise as possible. The time our hearts are fortified, our Armor is strengthened and soul cries out for more.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ~Acts 2:16-21 KJB

What would happen if we prayed for one whole day…two whole days…three whole days? The Apostles prayed for ten days…and look what happened, the whole world changed by the prayer of a few.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
