Grace to the Humble…

Grace to the Humble…

When the fear-driven-bus crashes, what happens next? Well, usually the same thing happens. We fall to our knees, cry out to God and beg forgiveness. Our God is merciful; He is filled with mercy for His children. He loves us so much that He sent the Son of Man to die for our sins. We are forgiven, we just need to remember to act like it.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 NKJB

Being a good servant should be our goal. Most people hear those words and shake their head, they don’t understand. If we look around we see self-serving, self-centered and selfish people at every turn. Why? Because they have lost their humility. They have been fed a lie that says they are the best thing going and those that are meek are in the way. This is how societies crumble. This is what makes great nations weak.

All of these statements are common place in our society today. 100% of these statements have happened within the past year and some are ongoing with an attempt to make them law. Some have already become law in one or two states throughout the U.S.

When did judging others become acceptable? When did holding other hostage become normailized? When did cancel culture become the rule?

Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? ~James 4:11-12 NKJB

We need to get back to that place of humility. We need to see others as ourself. We better find a place at the altar to be rid of our pride and ego before it gets worse.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
