The Truth Is All That Matters…

Until we have the capacity to look ourselves in the mirror acknowledge the warts, the scars and the bruises nothing will ever change. The shortcomings in our lives are 100% self generated. We must not be afraid to accept this truth. We must confess, to another human being, all of our shortcomings, all of our errant ways and all of the ill gotten gains we have acquired in our life time. This is called confession. Jesus Christ requires it all that seek His face, His time, His attention. The slate must be clean.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. ~1 John 1:8-10 NKJB
Jesus explains under no uncertain terms that we must confess to another human being. When we do this, He forgives us. This is where the truth is found. This is where freedom lives. This is how love blooms.

Not sure that it can be made any clearer. Confession is not for the world. Confession is not for social media. It is not to be shared with any more than 1 or 2 people, period. This is where freedom comes to life. There is no pressure to do something, there are only 2 or 3 people gathered in the name of Jesus Christ to share the weight of sin. Once everyone shares a little something, something of weight and meaning, those people are then bound by the blood of Jesus Christ. There is nothing that can break this bond. Nothing. Who wouldn’t want that in their life? Who wouldn’t want to be bond to Jesus Christ in total, absolute freedom, redemption and love?
