God Already Knows…
When do we turn over the reigns, let go and let God? God already knows…everything about me, about you and about all the others. Why do we fight it instead of embracing it? Why is our head so thick and our heart so hard? Maybe if we prayed a lot more this would change. Maybe, if we prayed a lot more, especially with, and for others, the whole world would change.
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. ~Mark 1:35 NKJB
So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. ~Luke 5:16 NKJB
who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, ~Hebrews 5:7 NKJB
“God, search my mind and rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ all that is not from You, about You and for You. Father God, search my heart and soul. In Jesus Christ name, rebuke all that is not from You, for You and about You. IF it resides in me, Father Abba, cast it aside. Do it now. Cleanse me in the name of Your Sons name, Jesus Christ. Amen”
The table has been set and our heart, mind and soul have been reset in this moment. This may be a good time to ask God what His will is for us.
“Father, God Almighty, what would You have me know about (X) ?” Breathe, be still and listen
“Father, Almighty God, in Jesus Christ’ name what would You have me do?” Breathe, be still and listen
Everyone’s prayers will be different but the idea is to make space, within, for God and the Holy Spirit to do what they do. Then ask Them to do it within us so that our actions are a reflection of His will. What will happen if this repeated throughout the day, many, many times?
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
