The Spirit Speaks In You…

The Spirit Speaks In You… by Randolph Jason for Gospel News Network

Fervent prayer.

I became quiet clear how important prayer life can be and the impact it can have on daily life. When we are in prayer and staying close to Our Father much is revealed, much is shared and so much more is given to us that it is hard to imagine. When prayer leads the way the sheer volume of joy, Liberty and love that fills our life can be overwhelming. How much we hear from Our Father is mind boggling.

When man listens, God speaks. When we open our ears to hearing it will amaze and baffle most that come in contact with Our Father the first time. When we ask Our Father to speak through us, He will. The Holy Spirit uses our tongue to speak words to those who need to hear. Of course, the Holy Spirit can use whatever language He sees fit, what good can come from His Word if no one can understand? No one speaks in gibberish and people act like they understand what has been said.

When we open up to Our Father the wonder of life begins to unfold right before us. Praying, in earnest, for guidance, for words and for healing of others happens. We see it everyday. We used to hear about it on a regular basis on the local and national news – not-so-much today. Just because the TV doesn’t announce it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening – it is.

As Jesus Christ explains through Matthew, it is His Words that we speak when the time is right.

Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. ~Matthew 10:16-20 NKJB

Do we need to be in a court of law or somewhere in an “official” capacity before people that are judging or persecuting us in the name of Jesus Christ? Of course not. If someone is judging us or is holding us in contempt in their heart, it has been my experience, Our Father will speak the Words necessary to change hearts and minds. The situation I speak of began, before I arrived, with fervent prayer and ended with fervent prayer. There was no reward, no “puffiness” of ego afterwards there was only a sense of peace and calm unlike any before or since. To this day it is impossible to recount what was said, as the words did not come from me, they came through me. Jesus Christ teaches this is what the Holy Spirit does for us and I believe Him; do you?

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
