Divine Power…

Divine Power…

Hearing from God is a gift from God. Would He hold out from His children? Would God give a little to this one without giving to another? The question then becomes how much does one believe. Do we walk in the faith and power of God or do we simply read from the Bible and then, perhaps, go to a religious building on Sundays? Do we follow Jesus Christ or not?

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue ~II Peter 1:1-3 KJB

Is the diving power Peter speaks of intended for him, for us or for someone else? According to the words Peter wrote we have received (past tense – its not coming its already arrived!) all things (not some things, not a partial list, not a piece of, but 100%) that pertain to life and godliness. We don’t have to ask for, we don’t have want of, those that believe and follow Jesus Christ have received all things necessary from Jesus Christ.

Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
