On Your Knees…
It seems there are a great many people that simply don’t understand prayer, God, Jesus Christ and the communications between His children and Himself. There is this misguided belief that by a person getting on their knees and bowing before God is somehow one of the worst things a person could do. Actually, the exact opposite is true – getting on our knees and bowing before God is the single best thing we could do for our life and the lives of others – full stop.
And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the Lord, that he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven. ~1Kings 8:54
We bow before God to hear His will for us. He is our Master, our Savior, our Lord. It is not because we disrespect or fear our God, it is because we respect and fear our God. We want to do the right thing in His eyes and we want to show Him the respect He deserves.
We do not fear our God, like, a lot people fear illness, auto-accidents or the like. No, we desire to live up-to His standard and falling short we struggle with ourselves coming to understand we need His help to keep the devil, and his many, many minions, at bay.

If praying from a position of 100% surrender is different or it’s never been done before, it should be done right now. Stop, drop and pray. There have been multiple times in life where this simple act created all the change necessary for the devil to be pushed aside and God’s awesome, raw power to move mountains. Those that say that don’t understand praying on knees are the people that have never, earnestly, done it.
Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
