Prayer Life…

Prayer Life…

You don’t know what you’ve got, ’til it’s gone. Or said another way…You don’t get thirsty ’til the well runs dry.

Not sure who originally uttered these words but they sure are true. This is how we slip back into living a sinful life. We miss a day of prayer, that becomes two or we miss a day of spending time with Jesus, the Father and asking for guidance from the Holy Spirit and the next you know…the heart darkens, the spirit is left empty and the mind wanders. The hands become the devils workshop. All these sayings, while they may sound trite or tired they are true and hold meaning – after multiple generations – for a reason.

It’s time to be quiet, be still and listen. It’s time to draw near and dive deep.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! ~Matthew 6:22-23 NKJV

It is time to bathe in the Light of His love. It is time to set aside the noise of the day and be with our Father. I miss Him and miss time with Him. Renew my soul, Father, and fill my heart with Your Love and Kindness.

Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
