Visions Of Glory…

Visions Of Glory…

What will it be like when I hear that sound?
All of heaven’s angels crying out:
Singing holy, holy, holy are You, Lord
Singing holy, holy, holy are You, Lord
Singing holy, holy, holy are You, Lord
Waiting my whole life for that day
Until then I’ll live to hear You say Well Done by Jason Ingram and Matt Fuqua

As prayer life evolves and we ask, seek and knock more and more and more, it seems sometimes we are given a glimpse of things that are to come, things that are or things God simply shows us for His own reasons.

The song lyrics above are intoxicating in their simplicity and beauty. As they sprang forth from the speakers the Lord saw fit to shine a light upon those words.

As the lyrics – All of heaven’s angels crying out – began playing my grandmother, Nannie, appeared. She was quickly followed by my Dad and older brother. They all were standing in a hazy space looking upwards with their arms outstretched in praise and worship. Then my other grandmother, Monie, appeared. They were so peaceful and solemn as they sang these words of praise –

Singing holy, holy, holy are You, Lord
Singing holy, holy, holy are You, Lord
Singing holy, holy, holy are You, Lord
Waiting my whole life for that day
Until then I’ll live to hear You say

Well done, well done, my good and faithful one…

They all faded as quickly as they appeared. This is the latest in what is becoming a regular situation. Maybe these visions of glory have been happening all along, but just never gave them any thought or weight. All good things come from the Father. Maybe He just wants to say “howdy”. What is happening, can not be known. It seems the only thing to do is to keep asking, seeking and knocking – then responding, following and doing.

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. ~Ephesians 5:1-6 NKJV

We are all one. We are one with one another even with those who have gone home.

Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
