We Should Love One Another…

We Should Love One Another…

Who among us overcomplicates their day? Yes, at some point we all suffer from this delusion.

The past several weeks there has been a new bible study started outside, in the warm glow of the Father. Quiet, peaceful and filled with the Breath of God. In our desire to get closer, hear more, learn more and be near we forget the little things like loving one another.

Matthew 22: 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Well, does it get any clearer, simpler and straight forward? When we see those around us as God sees them, as His children, people begin to look completely different. They no longer appear to be threatening, scary or ugly. They just look like people.

When we allow the enemy to speak into us and break us away from our Christ identity we begin to hear things that are not true. We hear words, that are spoken, like “idiot”, “failure”, “loser”, “fatty”, “undeserving”, “drunkard” and “molester”. Where do these words originate? Does God speak these words into our ear, into our mind or into our soul? Of course not. God would ask, “why is my child acting in this manner?” God would point the direction and call a person by a name more fitting, like “successful”, “deserving”, “winner”. Why would we listen to anything else?

When the enemy begins using these false identities against us don’t be surprised to find the enemy has morphed and put a different mask to distract further. A mask of jealousy, shame, gluttony, lust, anger, fear or covetous behavior or thoughts. It becomes easy for the enemy to change mask and appear in our words, actions and thoughts once a tiny little crack in the Armor has been manipulated.

How easy it is lose track of God and how easy it is recenter on His word, His path, His love – “devil be gone” spoken verbally, audibly and the enemy is required to leave. How easily this is done and how easily it is overlooked.

II John 1 NKJV

4 I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
5 And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning:
that we love one another.
6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
