Jordan: FBI Dir. Wray ‘Doesn’t Seem to Care’ About Attempted Coup, So ‘We’re Going Around Him’ By Michael W. Chapman for CNS News

House Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), ranking member on the Oversight and Reform Committee, said that FBI Director Christopher Wray “doesn’t seem to care” about the FBI malfeasance in 2016-2017 against President Donald Trump, and added that he and other Republicans are going to go around Wray to hold the Bureau fully accountable.

On FNC’s Hannity, May 18, host Sean Hannnity asked Rep. Jordan about his letter to Director Wray concerning the agency’s unwarranted investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn in 2016-2017.

Jordan said, “Well, we initially sent a letter to Chris Wray. He didn’t respond today, even though we asked him to respond by the 18th, today at 5:00, he didn’t. So, we’re asking to talk to Mr. Pietka and Mr. Priestap, two key players in this.”

FBI Special Agent Joseph Pientka was a principle figure in the investigation of Flynn and for Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI’s codename for its unwarranted investigation of Russia-Trump collusion in the 2016 campaign.

E.W. Priestap, or “Bill” Priestap, was the Assistant Director of the FBI for Counterintelligence, under President Obama, 2015-18. Priestap set up Crossfire Hurricane and also investigated Flynn.

Rep. Jordan continued, “Sean, here’s what I want to know. Compare three years of Chris Wray with three months of Ric Grenell — I don’t see where the FBI director is taking this seriously.”

Richard Grenell is the acting Director of National Intelligence. In recent weeks, Grennell has released the 2017-18 closed-door interviews of Obama administration officials, confirming that none of them had seen any evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

“You know, we talk about all these terrible things that happened in January of 2017, and they were bad,” said Jordan.  “Comey tells them to keep pursuing Mike Flynn, even though the agents want to drop. Comey meeting with Obama, talking about the Flynn-Kislyak conversation.”
