The Reward of Sin?

The Reward of Sin?

There is no reward in sin.

If this sounds like a reward or a prize or something to achieve, well, good luck with that idea.

1 Come near, you nations, to hear;
And heed, you people!
Let the earth hear, and all that is in it,
The world and all things that come forth from it.
2 For the indignation of the Lord is against all nations,
And His fury against all their armies;
He has utterly destroyed them,
He has given them over to the slaughter
3 Also their slain shall be thrown out;
Their stench shall rise from their corpses,
And the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved,
And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;
All their host shall fall down
As the leaf falls from the vine,
And as fruit falling from a fig tree.

When sin rules the day this is what is happening in the soul, in the mind and in the body. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can live a fruitful life, happy, joyous and free. Free from sin, free from worry and, most importantly, free of fear.

Further on, clear-cut directions are given showing how we recovered. [from sin] Source

Anyone that doesn’t need “clear-cut directions” from how to deal with sin, overcome sin and develop a deeply meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ may be excused. Those folks have already achieved something the rest of us will never understand. For those that remain and need a little help may we suggest beginning with a humbling prayer, on knees with lifted hands in full surrender. This is one of the best first steps of a marvelous journey and leave a sinful life behind as a new life in relation with Jesus Christ begins.
