Visions From The Past Foretelling The Future

Visions From The Past Foretelling The Future

A small group of us have begun studying Isiah. What an amazing Prophet, or did he even exist? There seems to be some question about Isiah, the spelling of his name and other attributes about one of the greatest Prophets in the history of the world. There are questions in my heart regarding Isiah. The spelling of his name is so unimportant there are no words to properly describe. The belief, of some, that he did not exist is of no more importance than the spelling of his name. Isiah captured the essence of the coming of Christ Jesus, the savior of the world.

When Isiah recorded his visions of the coming of Christ and how we would treat and reject Him it was some 700+ years prior to Immanuel being born. The detail in which Isiah spells out is heart-wrenching and beautiful all at the same time.

It seems there may be another hero entering my life. To this point, the Apostle Paul has been whom I look to as an example of living in Christ. However, it appears Paul may some company on the road I’m traveling.

Isiah 53 NKJV

3 He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
