Your Silver Has Become Dross

Sometimes when reading Scripture it’s as if there has been a mirror placed before todays society that directly reflects what the Prophets, Apostles, Disciples and Jesus Christ himself wrote some 2,000+ years ago. We see what has happened yesterday is happening today. We realize that while some things change, the flesh of mankind does not. It is as corrupt today as it was the moment Adam bit into the apple and all of mankind became separated from God.

A large part of the past few years there has been a concerted effort to understand economics, finance and gold and silver. When one has a deeper knowledge of these subjects the Spiritual war we are engaged becomes much clearer and the agents of the enemy are easier to see. Once money becomes corrupt everything it touches is forced to become corrupt in order to hide the lie the currency is telling. Once money transitions to fiat currency agents of the enemy have a much easier time of rounding up a great many souls. The lies become accepted as truth and truth becomes the enemy of the people. The real Truth, the actual Way and the Life we are to lead comes under attack and the attacks continue to get stronger and stronger with each passing day. The people are flooded with this new fiat currency and silver and gold, money from God, become nothing more than a distant memory that fades under the weight of sin.

Whenever a new word is put before me I turn to Merriam-Webster – Dross
Definition of dross
1 metallurgy : the scum or unwanted material that forms on the surface of molten metal
2: waste or foreign matter : IMPURITY
3: something that is base (see BASE entry 3 sense 1), trivial, or inferior

Isiah paints an incredible picture of what is happening in our world today, even though Isiah wrote this some 2,800 years ago. It’s as if Isiah was seeing the effects of a corrupt currency during his life and how this corruption fuels Spiritual warfare.

22 Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water.
23 Your princes are rebellious, And companions of thieves; Everyone loves bribes, And follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, Nor does the cause of the widow come before them
