Darkness Gets Confused
WOW! Do you ever see something that you have looked at your entire life and one day you actually see it – has this ever happened to you?
Shining the Light of truth in the darkness is one of the main goals of Christianity. If we are not shining the Light we are living in darkness – or as I have heard it said another way, we are either living or dying, we are not standing still. Today, I choose to live and today I ask for the Father to shine the Light of the Holy Spirit through my hardened heart so that it may be softened and bring life to others. The sin of our life is to be turned over everyday, all day. As we do this another piece of our soul is set free and another link in the chains that bind is broken.
John 1 NKJV
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
It’s like reading these words for the first time, though, nothing could be further from the truth. The deeper the dive the deeper the desire pulls one in. As the Word rolls over us and begins working through us our world starts to look much different. We, like Jesus, become more radical, not in an Antifa kind of way, but in a realistic way where we find our hands above our head in surrender more often, we find it much easier to give to another human being and we find that love begins to fill our hearts in ways we never thought possible.
Allowing the His Light to be our guiding force will keep us closer to God, closer to the source of all Love and pull us deeper into the Way, the Truth and the Life.
