Standing Firm

Standing Firm

Today is the day we must stand with God. Our time is no different than previous times with the moral decay, decadence and a world seemingly on the edge of a cliff. What is different today than during the time when Jesus Christ was upon the earth?

As Paul describes in Ephesians 6 NKJV

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

I ask what is different; has anything changed?

We are simply the latest brothers and sisters in Christ to carry the Light, His Light, to deliver a message of hope, love and healing. The enemy will be defeated, not by our hand and probably not in our time, but he is going to lose his seat at the table and once this happens, oh my… Our part is to simply stand firm, suit up and show up. By throwing our hands above our head and offering it all to Jesus Christ He will not let us fail. He will not let us fall and He will love us with all His the love of a great and powerful Father.

What is happening in our world today has been happening and will continue to happen. One of the biggest differences is the internet, cell phones and TV – they are, literally, everywhere and it is almost impossible, in the U.S., to escape one of these devices. We do not have the ability to break the chains, but our Father has the power to lift them from our wrist and set us upon a solid foundation from which the Holy Spirit shines God’s Light through our lives revealing His love for those that come to Jesus.
