Arizona ‘Beto Specials’ Gun Store Owner: ‘My Firearms are as Safe as My Cell Phone’ By Craig Bannister for CNS News
“My firearms are as safe as my cell phone,” says the owner of a Tempe, Arizona gun store that drew national attention when it sold out of AR-15s and AK-47s in only four hours by running a “Beto Specials” promotion.
In an interview with “Fox & Friends First” on Thursday, Alpha Dog Firearms Owner Matt Boggs said his cell phone is “going to hurt just as many people” as his guns – because he obeys the current gun laws:
“Me, as a law-abiding citizen, you know, my firearms are as safe as my cell phone, in my opinion. I’m going to hurt just as many people.”
“Making legal gun owners into criminals, that is not a solution,” Boggs said in response to calls to outlaw AR-15 and AK-47 rifles, as Democrat Beto O’Rourke has promised to do if elected president:
“They’re not out to – it’s an inanimate object – and going after people and grabbing these things and making legal gun owners into criminals, that is not a solution. And, it seems like to be the way people want to go about doing this.”
